The Le Lido hotel has its feet in the sand of Argelès-sur-Mer’s beach, bordered by hundred-year-old pine trees, and welcomes groups of tourists for totally relaxing holidays, with a good-humoured family feel. The hotel is in an amazing location - follow the shady little lane for a few metres and you’ll reach the private beach. There's sea and sand, perfect for topping up your tan and lazing around for ages doing nothing. Deckchairs are provided free of charge in mid-season (June and September).
The seaside resort offers a combination of pleasures. Argelès-sur-Mer is natural and unspoilt and has managed to retain its character as a little Mediterranean village. With the panoramic views from the coastal footpath, Le Racou and its fishermen's cottages, the nature reserves of La Massane du Mas Larrieu, there’s no shortage of ideas for walks. Then of course, if you go inland there are loads of other destinations for heritage, sports or gastronomy fans.
